Butterfly, flutterby.

I found this little flutterby today whilst I was walking back from Northwich. As a little girl I was always fascinated by flutterbys, I used to chase them round the garden. But it wasn't until I was six I could say butterfly, so flutterby has stuck ever since.
Whilst I realise this isn't the most amazing photograph of a butterfly people have ever seen, I do love how pretty and colorful it is, especially against the horrible plain brown dirt. And I am proud of it.

A quick play.

Two photos. Both taken today. The first of the staircase was taken when lining up my tripod before a shoot around college today. The second was taken when setting he cameras aperture and shutter speed using the screensave on a computer that was being projected on the wall, as the lights moved the camera caught it. The two have since been layered on top of each other.

Experimental

So whilst I was setting up my camera there was screensaver on the board which turned out to be quite effective on a long exposure, crop this, enhance the colours slightly and it should look good.

Zooming in and out on the subject during the exposure gives quite a "trippy" effect.

Self portrait, walking through the doors ar college.

Self portrait, stood in the corridor outside the darkroom. I do love the darkroom.

Experimental shot.
To take this set of images, I took the lens off the front of my camera, lined it up with where it should sit on the camera. I then set up the exposure and took the images above. They're quite strange, abstract, but I like it. Particularly the last two.
